Welcome back to the Morgan Matriarchy! This particular game session was much more stressful than usual, so there aren’t as many pictures.

Household members at the beginning, from left to right: October (baby #15, Nadine’s twin, and the current heiress), Jasmine (the current Matriarch), Perseus (baby #16), Misty (baby #13), Nadine (baby #14, October’s twin), Faye (the founding Matriarch), and Luna (baby #12).

 

So remember me saying I couldn’t decide what to do about Faye’s extended life? IT DIDN’T MATTER, I GUESS, since the game killed her again like five minutes after I started playing. She didn’t even have time to pay the bills! I’m still too startled to even be bummed about it.

RIP, Faye. You were the best Matriarch I could have ever started a challenge like this with.

 

Misty is just such a good girl. T_T

 

Remember Herald and Evan’s cute Toddler daughter, Christen? She aged up!

 

While Drake was over, I went ahead and had him spend some time with the twins.

… Aaaaand that’s the last you’ll see of any of the baby daddies, because I was so overwhelmed by everything happening during this particular play session that I didn’t even think to invite them over to hang out with their kids.

 

But they got to hang out with assorted extended family members, like Cameron!

 

I had to laugh when I caught him in this moment. He looks like he’s feeling his age!

 

I’d thought I couldn’t be more grateful for Luna, but this play session proved me wrong. Everyone else was such a disaster, but Luna and Misty were so reliable and really helped keep me sane.

 

Example A: the Toddlers, particularly the twins, kept having their Fun and Attention needs tank, and even when I’d try to raise them the bars didn’t seem to raise enough and/or stay up enough. It was dreadful, and this definitely wasn’t the only time a Toddler passed out from exhaustion because I was so busy trying to tend to their other Needs.

 

These would have been such great shots to use for a narrative legacy scene in which the girls are really over Jasmine having more kids!

 

Perseus aged up, which for some reason I’d thought would help the situation. He’s Independent. I’m also pretty sure he’s the first Toddler I’ve ever had who aged up into a bowl cut. I approve!

 

I tried to have Jasmine take care of her kids as much as I could, but given that her needs were also constantly tanking due to her pregnancy… let’s just say I really, really missed the days when I had another adult in the house.

 

I love when I spot multiple Morgan spares in the wild.

 

And when I’m able to get all the kids in one photo at home!

 

Keith called and asked if he could come over. It was like he’d never left! He even autonomously helped Misty with her homework, because he’s a saint.

 

AU where Keith can move back in. ))))):

 

Somewhere in the middle of this chaos, they had the smallest, shabbiest Winterfest the family has ever had. I couldn’t make space for the tree and everything was so chaotic that I didn’t even have Jasmine invite all her siblings over. I just had Luna summon the Cousins Club, and I think Jasmine invited a couple of the siblings for good measure, and then I went back to trying to keep everyone more or less alive.

 

Winterfest highlight #1: Keith once again showing up to be Super Uncle. (And then he went into labor and went home, where he gave birth to baby Julio!)

 

Winterfest highlight #2: finding out that Kaiden aged up! He looks so much like his mom (Candy Behr), good lord.

 

Winterfest highlight #3: Herald painted a picture that we’ll be able to sell later! That’s honestly the reason I still have the easel out–Herald and Gavin both jump on it from time to time and paint things.

 

I’m so anxious for Luna to become a Teen–she reminds me a lot of her mom when she smiles, and I’m curious to see if she will turn out to look a lot like Jasmine.

 

Speaking of Jasmine, I ended the game session when she gave birth…

 

… to TWINS. Meet DEAR GOD and WHY Quentin and River! River is our new heiress.

I’d originally planned to keep playing until Nadine and October aged up. October is all ready, and Nadine just has to finish the last little bit of her Thinking skill (or maybe it’s the other way around?) but honestly, just playing through all this had me so stressed out that I had to stop, haha. I’m just hoping Luna will get an A soon, because I think that having her as a Teen and the twin girls as Children will be a massive help. (Though honestly, Jasmine having the second set of twins is probably also a blessing in disguise, since she’s so much more functional when she’s not pregnant and now she won’t be able to have more kids until Luna moves out.)

Goals for next time:

• Age up both sets of twins and Luna
• Remember to invite Jasmine’s siblings and the gen 3 kids’ dads over
• Keep up to date on the cousins as they continue to age up (I’m planning to upload Mikayla, Mark and Kaiden as soon as Kaiden becomes a Young Adult, and then I’ll upload Clarence, Jerrica, and Christen together when they become Young Adults, too. I’ll probably upload Julio along with whichever of Jasmine’s kids he’s closest in age with.)
